Designer of spaces where learning comes to life.

A makerspace specialist and instructional designer who helps organizations create hands-on learning environments that spark curiosity, build confidence, and foster creativity. My work sits at the intersection of education, design, and community-building—translating ideas into practical, engaging, and scalable learning experiences.

What I Bring

Strategic Vision – I help you see what your makerspace can become, not just what tools to buy.

Practical Implementation – From concept to launch, I guide the process with hands-on expertise.

Community-Centered Design – Spaces that reflect and serve the people who use them.

Instructional Expertise – Learning experiences designed for engagement, retention, and real-world application.

Thoughtful Leadership & Community Engagement

My Journey

My path to makerspace design began with a question: How do we create spaces where people feel empowered to explore, experiment, and create?

That curiosity has led me through roles spanning post-secondary education, arts organizations, and technology companies. Along the way, I've designed makerspaces, developed training programs, facilitated workshops, and helped organizations reimagine how they approach hands-on learning.

What drives my work is the belief that the right environment—paired with thoughtful instruction—can unlock potential in ways traditional learning often misses.

My Approach

  • Learning by doing – hands-on experiences create deeper understanding

  • Iterative design – prototyping, testing, and refining based on real feedback

  • Inclusive access – making creative tools and learning opportunities available to all

  • Strategic creativity – balancing innovation with practical constraints and organizational goals

I maintain an active creative practice as a multidisciplinary artist, recognized by the Canada Council for the Arts. This artistic lens informs my approach to makerspace design—bringing together technical know-how with aesthetic sensibility and human-centered thinking.
